House Committee Chairman Commends Lagos Traffic Radio As Best In Nigeria

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly House Committee on Information, Strategy, and Security, Hon. Stephen Ogundipe, has lauded Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm as the best radio station in Nigeria, commending its exceptional service delivery.

During a recent working visit to the station by the House Committee, Hon. Ogundipe called for increased collaboration between the radio station, the State House of Assembly, and other stakeholders to raise public awareness about the importance of traffic laws and the state’s integrated intermodal transport system.

“Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm is the best radio station in Nigeria, considering its top-notch service delivery,” Hon. Ogundipe stated.

The House Committee Chairman expressed satisfaction with the station’s achievements within its short period of existence and pledged the committee’s support in addressing any challenges it may face.

In a live interview at the station’s studio, Hon. Ogundipe urged road commuters to obey all traffic rules and road signs, assuring Lagosians of the House of Assembly’s commitment to passing laws that will enhance the lives of citizens.

Hon. Samuel Apata, a member of the House Committee, also acknowledged the station’s impact on commuters’ travel times through its traffic updates and travel advisories, urging the station not to relent in discharging its mandate.

Earlier, the General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle, appreciated the House Committee’s visit, highlighting the station’s challenges and achievements, as well as its positive impact on listeners.

Akanle noted that the station’s unprecedented achievements were based on consistency in service delivery, which has helped set a standard among its peers in Nigeria.

“The station has positively added value to Lagosians’ lives and will continue to do so by ensuring they spend less time in traffic through prompt delivery of travel advisories on the Roads, Waterways, and Railways,” Akanle said.

He further revealed that the station had foresight by partnering with the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) to provide railway updates before the establishment of Lagos Blue Rail, urging Lagosians to anticipate updates on the Lagos Red Line Rail as soon as it commences operations.
