House Of Reps To Recieve Final Budget DocumentToday

The House of Representatives will today receive the final budget document from its appropriation committee for consideration and final passage into law.

The document which was to be laid before the House on November 28, but was postponed to December 3 and again moved to Wednesday as a result of the death of a member of the House from Niger state.

Ekohotblog reported that the legislator passed away on Monday morning at his Maitama residence in Abuja.

Mr. Jafa’aru, until his death was a member of the ruling APC and one of the 360 members of the 9th House that took the oath of office and oath of allegiance on June 11, 2019.

The house members expressed sadness over the demise of the member representing Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency of Niger State, Rep. Ja’afaru Iliyasu.

Some lawmakers in the house described the deceased as a gentleman who showed great willingness and determination to work in bringing good laws for the country.

Chairman of the House Appropriation Committee, Hon. Muktar Betara (APC) Borno is expected to lay the document before the House at the resumption of plenary.

The document is expected to be passed into law before the House embark on its Christmas break.
