A Texas YouTube comedian and prankster has gone on to taunt the Houston Police Department after he found out that police put out a warrant for his arrest. The YouTuber known as JiDion tweeted Monday, April 10, that he received a call that Houston police put out a warrant for his arrest with the crying face emoji.
Harris County records confirm that a warrant was issued for trespassing against the YouTube star with 6.9 million subscribers whose real name is Jidon Adams. When someone told the YouTuber not to return to Houston he replied, “That’s where I live.”
In a follow up tweet, JiDion posted a screenshot of the video title “My College Professor Rejected Me! ft. JiDion” from another YouTube prankster damii, which he believes got him the warrant. The video is no longer on damii’s channel, but the video has been reposed via other content creators reacting to the video.
In the video, damii and JiDion walk into a classroom at the University of Houston with flowers and a balloon and “prank” a professor by professing their love for her. The professor tells damii “UH PD is about to be your Valentine” while leading him and JiDion out of the classroom. It’s not clear if damii is in any trouble with law enforcement over the video.
On Tuesday, April 11, JiDion took to Twitter to announce that he was back in while tagging the Houston Police Department. He then told his over 650,000 followers on Twitter that he would take a photo in front of HPD if his tweet got 10,000 likes in 10 minutes. The tweet got over 6,000 likes but JiDion still posted a photo of himself in front of an HPD building in Clear Lake with a sign that reads “L+Ratio.”
It’s not clear if JiDion has turned himself in to the police, as Harris County Court records don’t show any updates since Monday.
JiDion did tweet a picture of a man that he claimed was his attorney saying he told him not to “sweat” the warrant.
