How I Separate Online Negativity from My Real Life – Seyi Law
Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has shared his approach to dealing with online trolls. He explained that he keeps online negativity separate from his personal values and ensures it doesn’t impact his real life.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that in an interview with HIPTV, Seyi Law said, “When it comes to internet trolls and online backlash, even if I choose to respond, it remains online. I don’t carry it into my personal life or let it affect me outside of the digital space.”

He emphasised, “Some people might call themselves E-warriors, but as long as I remain compassionate and kind, I am at peace with my creator. If I am in good standing with my creator, other things are inconsequential.”
Seyi Law also differentiated between personal insults and defamation, advising against making unfounded defamatory claims.
He noted, “If someone insults or abuses me, that’s their issue. However, making defamatory statements without evidence is not acceptable. Don’t claim someone took money if you didn’t see it, and don’t label someone as a prostitute if you don’t have proof.”
