Solidstar, known for his unique musical style, recounted his journey to stardom in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast. He highlighted how ‘One In A Million’ propelled him into the spotlight, earning him recognition as Best New Artist at the Nigerian Music Video Awards.
Reflecting on the impact of his music, He remarked, “Many even thought I was Ghanaian because my style then was different. It was my song that changed the sound of the Nigerian music industry.”
Specifically, Solidstar credited the remix of ‘One In A Million’ featuring 2Baba for influencing P-Square’s hit track ‘Possibility,’ which also featured the renowned artist. This cross-pollination of musical ideas, he believes, contributed to the evolution of Nigerian music.
