How Palm Wine Tapper Escaped Brutal Death In Enugu
An elderly man identified as Emeka is currently thanking God for his life as he had a near death experience on Thursday night.
Emeka who is an indigene of Nkanu, Enugu State fell from a high palm tree, while tapping wine.
He said he did not understand how it all happened, but all he could remember was that all of a sudden, he fell from the tree and the pieces of sharp woods and thorns pierced through his back.
Neighbours had the loud thud and ran to his rescue, crying and rushing him to the hospital.

Fortunately, none of his organs or spinal cord was damaged and he is already recuperating.
A resident, Mama Nkechi said God will not let Emeka die because he had been supplying them with good palm wine for over 20 years.
“So many have died after falling from a palm tree, others have broken their backs and gone crippled, but God saved Papa!” Mama Nkechi added.
