A Kaduna High Court has sentenced a Facebook hacker identified as Innocent Arzuka has been sentenced to a four-month jail term after he pleaded guilty.
Justice Hannatu A.L Balogun convicted and sentenced him to four months imprisonment after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on a four-count charge that bordered on cheating by impersonation.
The convict was apprehended in an operation following intelligence on his alleged involvement in cybercrime.
Investigation revealed that he fraudulently hacked into the Facebook accounts of unsuspecting persons, and used the accounts, after editing them to suit his requirements, to prospect for would-be victims of his fraud schemes.
Based on his plea, the prosecution counsel, M. E Eimonye urged the Court to convict the defendant accordingly.
