Some suspected ritualists have killed and dismembered the body of a Fulani herdsman in Igosun in Oyun local government area of Kwara state.
Usman Audu the victim had earlier taken his cows out on grazing as usual but never returned home till evening time.
Only his cows reportedly found their way home.
The worried family members had immediately reported the incident to the nearby police state with whom a search party was organised.
After a feverish search, his remains were later discovered in a bush with his hands, private part and eyes removed by the suspected ritualists.
While narrating the ordeal, one of the relations said , “He left home with his cows on Thursday morning for grazing. But we became worried in the evening when we didn’t see him which was unusual but only his cows returned.
“It was after several hours of search, in collaboration with the police in the area we earlier reported the incident to, that we found his body in the bush severely dismembered. His private part, hands and eyes were removed”, he added.
He said the corpse has been deposited at morgue of offa general hospital.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State Command, Ayayi Okasanmi told journalists that investigation is still on going adding that no arrest has been made.
