A serial number refers to a unique set of numbers assigned to a specific phone to uniquely identify it. Serial numbers need not be strictly numerical. They may contain letters and other typographical symbols, or may consist entirely of a character string.
Most times, when phone dealers/companies want to offer warranty on a phone, they ask for the serial number of the phone.
Here’s how to get your serial number;
Phone Pack
If your Android phone comes in a pack. Most times, the serial number is written at the side of the pack.
Phone Settings
For those who didn’t get their phone brand new, the serial number can be located on the phone’s settings. Scroll down to locate and select the About Phone button. The serial number should be displayed close to the button.
Back Panel
If any or all of the options above seem to be out of reach, then consider opening your Android phone back panel. For Android phones with a removable battery, the Serial Number should be visible after the battery is removed. However, for those with an inbuilt battery, it should be written probably above the area occupied by the battery.
