Eko Hot Blog reports that in a recent address to faculty members and participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 17 at the National Institute for Security Studies, Senator Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, emphasized the crucial role of intelligence gathering in enhancing security.

Speaking from his office in Abuja, Senator Akpabio highlighted the significance of intelligence in safeguarding lives and addressing the myriad security challenges faced globally, ranging from border disputes to insurgencies.
Addressing security executives from Nigeria and five African countries participating in the 10-month course, themed “Artificial intelligence, security and emerging economies in Africa: challenges and prospects,” Senator Akpabio urged them to utilize the knowledge acquired to bolster security not only in West Africa but across the continent and beyond.
“Intelligence is paramount in any operation,” emphasized Senator Akpabio. “Given the current global landscape marked by insecurity, including border conflicts, insurgencies, and kidnapping, it is imperative that security officials prioritize intelligence gathering.”
