Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has appealed to the general public over the inconvenience caused by the lack of power supply to the hospital.
Power supply to the hospital has been disrupted for the past five weeks, necessitating the need to rely on the use of generators.
According to a statement posted on the Lagos State government social media handles Friday evening, the hospital management explained that despite having the help of generators, there are still challenges restricting full power supply.
The management noted that in order to ensure a continuous supply of electricity by the generators, there has to be periodic shutdown.
“However, during these periods, which have been made as short as possible, some inconvenience is bound to be experienced,” the statement reads.
While soliciting the cooperation and understanding of all staff and patients, the LASUTH management reiterated its commitment to keep its services running while prioritising supply to critical areas pending when normalcy is restored.
