Ekohotblog reports that the town of Araromi in Ibeju-Lekki came alive as His Royal Majesty Oba Olayemi Lukman Arowolo Adebambo, the Gbadewolu of Araromi Kingdom, celebrated his birthday alongside the Ojude Oba festival.
The event attracted dignitaries and monarchs from far and wide over the weekend.
Held at the royal palace, the celebration featured colourful cultural displays, traditional dances, and music that highlighted the rich heritage of Araromi Kingdom.
The Ojude Oba festival, an annual tradition, brought people together to honour their king.
The Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, thanked Kabiesi for his efforts in maintaining peace and fostering development in the Araromi Kingdom.
He praised Oba Adebambo for his leadership during challenging times and urged the community to continue supporting their king.
“Your Majesty, your dedication to our people’s well-being and your commitment to peace have been outstanding.
“We appreciate your leadership and the stability you’ve brought to Araromi Kingdom,” said the Ibeju Lekki LCDA Chairman.
He called on the community to work together to keep the peace and support the king’s efforts.
Many notable figures, including monarchs from neighboring kingdoms, government officials, business leaders, and community elders, attended the celebration.
They praised Oba Adebambo for his achievements and pledged their support for the kingdom’s growth.
The event featured a grand banquet with traditional dishes and refreshments.
Guests presented gifts and awards to the king, acknowledging his contributions to the community.
The celebration demonstrated the deep respect and admiration the people of Araromi Kingdom have for their monarch.
In his speech, Oba Adebambo thanked everyone for their support.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the kingdom’s development and urged his subjects to remain united and peaceful.
“Together, we can overcome any challenge and build a prosperous future for our children,” he said.
The birthday and Ojude Oba celebration was a memorable event, honouring the king and strengthening the community while showcasing Araromi Kingdom’s vibrant cultural heritage.
