A husband, Kazeem Adetayo was on Friday arraigned before an Osun State Magistrate’s Court Osogbo for allegedly stealing N70,000 which belonged to his wife, Omowumi Adewale.
According to Police Prosecutor, Kayode Adeoye, Kazeem stole the amount at his wife’s residence in Owode area of Osogbo on October 6, 2019, an offence that contravened sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34 Vol. Il, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.

Kazeem, arraigned on a two-count charge, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Counsel for the accused, Okobe Najite, who applied for his bail, said that the matter was a domestic matter and that Omowunmi was ready for an out-of-court settlement, the latter said she was bent on continuing with it.
The Magistrate, Taofiq Badmus admitted Kazeem to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in the like sum.
