I Am Happy He Is The One Buhari Is Handing Over To — Zulum

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State expressed his happiness on Friday, saying he is elated that President-elect Bola Tinubu will take over from President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, 2023.

He stated this during an Eid-el-Fitr lunch with the Vice President-elect and former governor, Kashim Shettima, at the Government House in Maiduguri.

Zulum, while assuring the people of Borno State that Tinubu will deliver on his campaign promises, said the President-elect is familiar with the pains and desires of Borno residents. He also expressed that he would miss the huge support he got from President Buhari, adding that the President was his greatest pillar in nearly four years of his first term.

The governor stated that the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election was the greatest relief to him and his administration.

He also expressed his joy that Senator Kashim Shettima was sitting in their midst as the Vice President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, waiting to be sworn in, which has been one of his prayers since he was sworn in as governor in 2019.

Zulum disclosed that President Buhari had lamented that nobody was as supportive as it should be in addressing the problems faced in Borno State, which he said has been one of his nightmares. However, he expressed optimism that with Tinubu’s support in the next four years, the government and people of Borno state would experience better governance.
