I Am Making More Money Now That I Don’t Need To Share – Peter Okoye On Psquare, Album

  • The prodigal son story is a son who ran away, didn’t succeed and came back, I’m still succeeding.” Mr. P explained.

Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, while speaking to HipTV, during a recent interview, said he is happy and makes more money as a solo artist than when he was in a group, and also gave reasons why he named his latest music album, “The Prodigal”.

Mr. P, of the now-defunct group, PSquare, said he now makes more money as he doesn’t have to share his earnings in three ways, as he shares with nobody.

“I’m making money and I don’t have to share with anybody, call it greed or selfishness, I don’t care. Yes, my management and my team.

‘Freedom is key. I can get a call that there’s a show next week and it’s my daughter’s birthday. I can say, ‘cancel it’. As a group, I couldn’t do that.” Mr. P said.

Mr. P, also revealed that the title of his album, “The Prodigal” doesn’t not mean he is “The Prodigal Son”, as the prodigal son was a person who ran and didn’t succeed and came back to his family, but in his own case, he is succeeding, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

“It is not the prodigal son, it is ‘The Prodigal’. If you want to involve the son, I should be the prodigal who has a son.

“The definition of prodigal is someone who is successful, independent and takes responsibilities of his decision. The prodigal son story is a son who ran away, didn’t succeed and came back, I’m still succeeding.” Mr. P explained.
