Buhari has spoken about his plans for his last 4 months as president.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has once again expressed his desire to retire in peace.

Speaking on Monday at the palace of the Emir of Damaturu, Hashimi II El-Kanemi, Buhari announced that he plans on using the next four months he has left to be steadfast in governance so he can retire in peace.

Speaking on the security situation in the country, the nation’s leader urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their belief in the country.

He warned the citizenry to desist from allowing any terrorist groups to destabilize Nigeria again.

‘‘With the four months I have left as President, I’ll continue to be steadfast, and I hope that I will retire in peace,” he stated.

Buhari also expressed his confidence in the government’s ability to protect the right of Nigerian children to education, particularly those displaced from their homes by Boko Haram.

He said, ‘‘We have gone through so much as a country, but I will appeal to you all to maintain steadfastness and make sure that we will not allow anybody to disorganize us again”.

Speaking further, the president showed his excitement at the return of peace to Yobe State and Northeast Nigeria and attributed the tranquility to the ingenuity of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and his Borno State counterpart, Prof Babagana Zulum.
