The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, says he will never dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and return to his former party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Obaseki said this while speaking on Tuesday morning on ARISE TV, the broadcast arm of THISDAY.
The governor said he made promises to the people of Edo as a PDP candidate and it will be immoral and unfair to leave the platform given to him by the PDP to achieve his reelection bid.
”It’s not right to jettison them, I have no plan to return to APC.”
In the same vein, the just re-elected Governor stated that he has no plans to go to the senate, which is deemed as the retirement home for governors, after his second tenure.
According to him, he would rather be going into teaching after his second-term in the office.
”I want to go back and impart knowledge, I have been an effective governor,” Obaseki said.
