‘I Have Nothing In My Bank Account When I Left Banky W’s Label’, Says Wizkid
Starboy Entertainment boss Wizkid during an interview with Capital Xtra in the United Kingdom revealed he had nothing in his bank account when he left Banky W’s record label EME.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ left ME in 2013, after which he established his own record label; Starboy entertainment in the same year.
Recall Wizkid, alongside Skales and Shaydee, were formerly signed to the label which was founded by Banky W and Tunde Demuren in 2002.

Speaking on working independently, the singer said he had nothing before left EME, despite being popular then.
His words “When i left, it was really crazy like nobody knows the story I literally had to leave with zero naira and I was Wizkid”
The singer rose to prominence in 2010 with the release of the song “Holla at Your Boy” from his debut studio album Superstar and has overtime made a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry.
