EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) detained a suspected kidnapper who claimed he planned to kidnap his ex-lover in order to gather money to marry her.

Ibrahim Mohammed, 30, Bilyamiyu Mohammed, 30, and Uche Daniel, 30, were among others arrested with him.
Ahmed moved to Nigeria and rented a three-bedroom property in the victim’s estate in Apo, Abuja, according to reports.
He and the other suspects, who are still on the run, are said to have carried out the kidnapping on March 26 at Suniville Estate Apo.
When the victim came to visit, the suspect staged an invasion of his apartment, making it appear as if his accomplices had kidnapped him and his lover.
When the gang broke into the victim’s home and kidnapped her and her partner, she was relaxing in the living room.
Unfortunately for Ahmed and his crew, the victim’s relative, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), reported her kidnapping to the IRT, and operatives were dispatched right away to investigate.
