I Liked Living In Italy More – Arsenal Star, Torreira

As Premier League side, Arsenal are looking to reinforce by bringing in new players, so are some of their players hinting of moving on. It was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang removing Arsenal from his Instagram bio just last week.

Now, Uruguay international has fuelled talks of an impending move to Italian side, AC Milan, citing language barrier and London weather for his struggles in England so far.

Joining the Gunners in the summer of 2018 from Sampdoria, Torreira made 50 appearances across all competitions but speculations indicate Milan are keen on signing the Uruguay international.

“I don’t know if there’s a lot of things that I’m enjoying because I think I liked living in Italy more,” he said during a press conference, adding: “London is a completely different world. England is a very big country.

“I had trouble with the language, communicating with my team-mates and with the people. It’s pretty rough in certain moments when you can’t have any dialogue, that’s the most important part.”

As far as Torreira is concerned, “The weather is also difficult,” saying: “You go out in the morning and it’s cloudy and you get back after training and it’s still cloudy.

“I miss the sun. Mostly us South Americans are used to having sunny days. But I think I’ll get used to it as the years go by.”
