Eko Hot Blog reports that Wale Adenuga, a renowned Nigerian cartoonist and producer, was a panelist at a recent workshop on editorial cartooning organized by the U.S. Consulate General.
The event explored the impact of cartoons and satire on public discourse. Adenuga was invited due to his acclaimed work as a cartoonist on publications like ‘Binta’ and ‘Ikebe Super’.
Expressing joy at being a panelist, Adenuga said: “I am honoured to be one of the panelists at this distinguished event, which celebrates the art of cartooning, and the overall strategic use of comedy to promote development. It is always a joy of mine to share my vast experience and knowledge with the emerging generations of writers, cartoonists, and creatives in general.”
Adenuga appreciated the U.S. Consulate General and Punch Media Foundation for organizing the event and inviting him to contribute. He also gifted copies of his biography, ‘An Unusual Biography’, to attendees including award-winning U.S. cartoonist Barbara Brandon-Croft.
