Ondo PDP
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the suspended chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Fatai Adams, has asserted that he still holds the position of chairman within the party.
This online media platform understands that the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party in the state had earlier suspended Adams, citing allegations of anti-party activities.
This suspension was endorsed by the nine SWC members who expressed concern over the infiltration of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) into the opposition party.
However, Adams firmly believes that his suspension is baseless and driven by political motives.
He claims that the suspension was orchestrated to further the alleged agenda of those involved in the Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency Bye election in February.
He further maintained that some unscrupulous elements are out to destroy the democratic values that the party is known for.
“This will not stand; we know what they are trying to do; their plans are to remove me so that they can execute their evil agenda for the Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency Bye-election, and we will not fall for that,” he said.
