Tinubu has assured that he would eliminate strikes from universities if elected president.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said on Tuesday that if elected as Nigeria’s next president, his administration will ensure stability in the university system.
The former Governor of Lagos State assured that he would address the challenges of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) if he is voted in the 2023 presidential election.
This online media platform gathered that Tinubu gave the assurance today while addressing his supporters at the APC presidential campaign rally in Damaturu, Yobe State capital.
The presidential hopeful boasted that incessant strikes by the ASUU would be a thing of the past as his administration would ensure total stability in the country’s university system.
Tinubu also pledged to provide loans for university students. The APC flag bearer said he would provide agro-credit facilities and make the Northeast region an export zone.
“I will extend the credit facilities to university students as loans. I will make our education system, especially the university education, more stable by dealing with the problem of ASUU strikes. There will be no more strikes in our universities,” he said at the APC rally in Damaturu.
