Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Prepares Supplementary Budget for 2024

Ekohotblog reports that the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, led by Mayor Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, recently held a supplementary budget session to discuss resource allocation for the final quarter of the fiscal year 2024.

 

The meeting brought together executives, legislative members, and management to deliberate on funding for essential projects and activities.

“This session is vital for us to ensure that our ongoing projects are adequately funded,” Mayor Olowa stated. “It provides an opportunity for supervisors and departmental heads to present their needs and justify their budget requests.”

 

The session allowed departmental heads to defend their budget allocations and propose increases where necessary, all while working within the Local Government’s available resources.

 

“Engagement from all departments is crucial for transparency and effective planning,” said Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, the Vice Chairman.

 

attendees included the Leader of the House, Hon. Olayinka Mojeed Oluwafemi; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adebanjo Adewale Fasali; Council Manager Mr. Otinwa Oladipupo Abiodun; and Mrs. Aderonke Dada, who presented the budget.

 

“The collaboration among all stakeholders today demonstrates our commitment to addressing the needs of our community,” Hon. Olowa added.
