Zlatan Ibrahimovic will finally have a chance to play for his old club Manchester United after he was named among the substitutes for Thursday night’s Europa League round of 16 second leg tie.
The giant Swede has been missing from action on the pitch since the start of March due to a muscle injury.
He was racing against time to be fit for the first leg which ended 1-1 at Old Trafford, however, he could not make it.
His presence will be vital as the Rossoneri will be looking to capitalise on their away goal and home advantage.
Ibrahimovic scored 29 competitive goals in two seasons for Man United. The 39-year-old recently came out from international retirement with Sweden and will take part in the Euro 2020 tournament in the summer.
Diogo Dalot, who is on loan from United and featured in the first leg, retains his place.
Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made no changes to his starting line-up, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
They have three players in David De Gea, Paul Pogba and Donny Van de Beek, all making a return to the team but only having space on the bench.
De Gea just returned from the birth of his first child in Spain, while Pogba and Van de Beek were out with injuries.
United will need to find a way to get a result that takes them to the quarter-finals. Since Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the club in December 2019, they have only managed to reach farthest the semi-finals in cup competitions, including the Europa League last season where they lost to Sevilla.
They are currently second in the Premier League, behind cross-town rivals Manchester City.
