Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have been identified as the ones behind a midnight attack on the residence of self-styled Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho, in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to The PUNCH, a top security source, who pleaded anonymity because he wasn’t authorised to speak on the matter, said that the secret police operated in Sunday Igboho’s residence in Ibadan on Thursday morning.
“The DSS operated in his (Sunday Igboho) house in Ibadan on Thursday morning,” the security source said.

The source, however, could not give details on whether Sunday Igboho was arrested or whether any of his aides were arrested or killed during the raid.
When contacted and while reacting to the claim whether or not the secret police was responsible for the raid on the Ibadan residence of Igboho, DSS spokesman, Peter Afunaya, neither denied nor confirmed the report.
