BREAKING: IGP Announces Dissolution Of SARS Nationwide

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has announced the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.

He made the announcement at a press briefing on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

The dissolution of the notorious police unit followed days of protests by Nigerians and even foreigners. The unit was accused of harassing, brutalising, and even killing young Nigerians.
