IGP Asks For Support From Algeria in Fight Against Terrorism

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu has called on the Algerian authorities to support Nigeria’s fight against insurgency and terrorism.

The IGP made this call during a visit of the African Police Organization (AFRIPOL) General Assembly led by its President and Inspector General of Police of Algeria, H. E. Khelifa Ounissi in Abuja.

Nigeria has been battling insurgents in the North, kidnappers, as well as ISWAP and Boko Haram terrorists leading to a call for the sack of service chiefs in the country.

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi himself, a key member of the Buhari administration reportedly escaped attacks by insurgents in Kaduna recently, making the need for a quick and effective solution to insecurity a priority.
