Ikosi-Ejinrin Hosts First Isimi Lagos Festival and Polo Event

Ekohotblog reports that Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA witnessed a historic day with the first-ever Isimi Lagos Festival and Polo Event at Isimi Lagos, Nigeria’s first Wellness and Polo Country Estate in Okeosho.

The event, led by Mr. Wale Ayilara, CEO of Isimi Lagos, brought together top leaders from government, traditional rulers, business, and entertainment.

Notable guests included Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), the Ooni of Ife, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chairman Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, former Deputy Governor Dr. Femi Pedro, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Culture and Tourism Commissioner Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and Marriott Hotel CEO Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, among others.

In his speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the vision of Isimi Lagos, describing it as a key driver for tourism and economic growth in the state.

“Isimi Lagos is not just a project; it shows the great potential of Lagos State as a global tourism center. The combination of wellness, hospitality, and polo fits perfectly with our government’s plans to grow the economy,” he said.

The LCDA Chairman, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, spoke about the area’s potential to attract investments and create development.

“Ikosi-Ejinrin is full of opportunities. Projects like Isimi Lagos, the Lagos State Foods and Logistics Hub in Ketu-Ereyun, and the Lagos Film Village in Ejinrin show that our LCDA is becoming a top destination for tourism and business,” he said.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, celebrated the festival for mixing culture and modern ideas.

“This event showcases our rich traditions while adopting global standards in wellness and luxury. It’s a proud moment for Nigeria and shows the possibilities within our land,” he said.

The festival featured exciting polo matches, cultural performances, and tours of the estate’s beautiful facilities, including wellness centers.

Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, one of the guests, expressed his joy.

“This event is a big step for tourism in Lagos. Isimi Lagos blends innovation with tradition, and I’m happy to be part of it.”
