Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Eko Club International Provide Free Medical Services to Over 1,000 Residents
Ekohotblog reports that Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), led by its Chairman, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, partnered with Eko Club International to offer free medical services to more than 1,000 residents.
The event, held earlier today, provided adults and children in the area with access to free healthcare.
Services included dental care, free medicated eyeglasses, and treatments for common illnesses like hypertension, malaria, typhoid, and diabetes. Residents were also screened for diabetes, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, and other health conditions. In addition, they received teeth cleaning and extractions, all at no cost.
This medical outreach is part of Eko Club International’s 2024 program to bring healthcare services to communities in Lagos State. The group had previously visited Ayobo-Ipaja and Lagos Island before arriving at Ejinrin.
Mr. Saheed Olusi, President of Eko Club International, stated that their goal is to improve health services for those who need it most. “We are committed to providing healthcare to people who don’t have easy access to it. By doing this, we are making a real difference in their lives,” Olusi explained.
Eko Club International comprises Lagosians living abroad who aim to give back to their home communities. This partnership with Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA is part of their mission to support the health and well-being of Lagos residents.
Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, expressed gratitude to Eko Club International for their support. “This is the second time they have worked with us to bring healthcare to our people.
Their commitment to our community’s welfare is clear, and we are deeply grateful. We will keep working on ways to improve the lives of our residents,” Anomo said.
The traditional ruler of the area, Oba Rafiu Ishola Babatunde Balogun, the Elejinrin of Ejinrin Kingdom, also expressed his appreciation. “It’s wonderful to see our people receiving this level of care.
I appreciate the efforts of both the LCDA and Eko Club International. May these good works continue,” he said.
Many residents were pleased with the medical services they received. “We thank the Chairman and Eko Club International for bringing these doctors and services to us,” said one of the beneficiaries.
