Ekohotblog reports that the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has recommenced its earth road grading project across various communities, led by Chairman Akogun Wale Raji Anomo.
This phase of the initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and improve residents’ quality of life.
Previously, from December 2023 to February 2024, the LCDA graded over 150 streets across its six wards and opened several new roads.

The project faced a temporary halt due to the rainy season but has now resumed, with grading currently underway in the Ketu community.
Notable progress includes the completion of Ododugba Road and several other streets.
In addition to the ongoing grading, the LCDA is launching a new road to connect Timberville Agbowa/Owu (Okobaba relocation site) with the Agbowa community.
This new route will provide direct access between Agbowa and the Timberville relocation site, improving transportation and supporting local commerce.
Chairman Akogun Wale Raji Anomo stated, “Our goal is to enhance connectivity and improve the quality of life for our residents.
This road grading project is just one of many steps we are taking to achieve that.” He added, “The new road linking Timberville with Agbowa will significantly ease transportation and boost local businesses.”
Residents have welcomed the ongoing improvements. A local business owner remarked, “The road grading has already made a noticeable difference.
Travel times have been reduced, and we’re excited about the new road connecting us to Timberville.”
Chairman Akogun Wale Raji Anomo also assured that more projects are on the horizon, emphasizing, “We are committed to sustainable development and continuous community engagement.
Our focus remains on creating a more accessible and prosperous environment for everyone.”
