Hon Raji made this statement in an interview with EKO HOT BLOG during the Annual Interdenominational Prayers hosted in Noforija, Epe, by the Aladeshonyin and Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Babatinde Ogunlaja.

The Lawmaker said: “Ileya celebration is a special festival in the Epe community because it is a festival celebrated by all, both Muslims and Christians.

“It is a festival of unity, it brings every son and daughter of Epe together. It is unique to us and particularly this year, we have every cause to thank God.”

Basking in the euphoria of his landslide victory at the APC primaries, Wale Raji extended his heartfelt gratitude to his constituents, stressing that this was the first Eid-el-Kabir celebration after the primaries.

He, therefore, congratulated all stakeholders across the board.

“For me in particular, I need to appreciate the good people of the Epe Federal Constituency. It is the first Ileya festival coming immediately after the APC Primary elections at which the good members of our party and the good people of Epe Federal Constituency renewed my mandate to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives.

“I want to especially thank everybody, I congratulate all the good people of Epe Federal Constituency, the traditional rulers, the Ulamas, the political leaders and all sons and daughters of Epe on the celebration of this year’s Ileya,” he stated.

Speaking further, Wale Raji reminisced on the years when the ravaging COVID -19 pandemic wreaked havoc on the country and therefore appreciated God for his mercies and grace to survive the pandemic and therefore urged his constituents to hope in God to surmount the challenges experienced in the country.

“God made us survive the COVID -19 pandemic and the insecurity in the country. We have every cause to thank God. I want to urge all of us to continue to be prayerful so that God will see us through the difficult situation we are in today,” he stated.

He enjoined his constituents to make it a duty to register and collect their Permanent Voters Card, PVC, in preparation for the 2023 general elections.

While he solicited the unbridled support of his constituents in electing the right candidates presented by the APC at the primaries from the Presidency to the House of Assembly, Wale Raji assured them that they would be glad they did as they’ve been doing since 1999.

“As we are approaching the 2023 elections, I urge all of them to get prepared by ensuring that they get their PVCs and prepare to elect the right people for the various positions from the presidential to the Governorship to the senatorial to the house of reps and house of assembly.
