Following the Court of Appeal declaring Hon. Obinna Chidoka of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) winner of the last General ekection, the erstwhile minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has said that he would hold his brother(Obinna) accountable if he failed the idemili people.
Obinna Chidoka who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election for Idemili North and South federal constituency had lost the election to his All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) counterpart, Ifeanyi Ibezi.
But the Court of Appeal last Friday ruled that Chidoka won the election, and that Ibezi should vacate the seat for him.
Osita Chidoka reacting to this in a press statement he signed said, “To Hon. Obinna Chidoka, you promised to do more in representing Idemili, we will hold you accountable to that promise.
“I called Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezim, to reach out to him and wish him well. It is Politics. It is not personal. I wished him well and hope to engage him further on the need for peaceful elections.”

Chidoka also reacted to the verdict of the Supreme Court between Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari in which the Court dismissed the former’s petition.
He said, “Elections are over, court process over, time to heal.
“To all our friends and supporters, it is not time to gloat. It is time to heal. I have forgiven anybody who one way or the other wronged me in the course of that election and also ask that they forgive me too for my own transgressions, if any.
“To the family of the young men that lost their lives during the elections, we will continue to support the dependents.”
