EKO HOT BLOG reports that Whitemoney, the winner of the Big Brother Naija Season 6 reality show, has issued an apology to women who were offended by his comments about them. This comes after he made remarks on the show that insinuated that a man’s wealth can make up for any perceived inadequacy in a woman’s appearance.
The reality star’s comments sparked outrage among women, including former Big Brother Naija housemate Doyin and actress Victoria Inyama. Whitemoney further fueled the outrage during an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he criticized Doyin for speaking out against his comments.
However, after receiving backlash online, Whitemoney has issued an apology to those who were offended by his remarks. He stated that he never intended to slander women and that he was misunderstood.
“I will never slander women, I will never talk bad against women, I was raised by women, I love women, my team is filled with women, and I don’t have anything against women,” Whitemoney said.
“Women have been a major part of my career and I appreciate every single woman in my life that I’ve come across and yet to come across.”
He went on to apologize to all women who felt insulted by his comments, acknowledging that he is not perfect and is capable of making mistakes. He urged everyone to let love lead and thanked his supporters for standing by him during this difficult time.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of being mindful of the impact of our words and actions on others, particularly in matters related to gender equality and respect for women.
“So, I’m sorry to all the women who feel insulted, I didn’t mean to insult anybody intentionally, I’m not above mistakes, I’m not perfect, thank you very much, let love lead,” he said.
