Six days after her international passport was seized, #EndSARS promoter, Modupe Odele, on Friday, disclosed that the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has informed her that the seized passport is ready for collection.
Odele who made this known via a twitter said the immigration officials informed her that they would be releasing the passport at 4pm on Friday (today).
“I’ve been told by Immigration that my passport is ready for collection from 4 pm today. I’ve respectfully informed them I’ll be there on Monday to pick it up.

“Since today is Friday, I asked for an earlier time but was told it will only be ready from 4 pm today, Friday,” she tweeted.
Odele, who provided legal assistance to protesters who were unjustly arrested by the authorities, was stopped at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Sunday on her way to the Maldives through Dubai.
In its defence, the NIS said the passport was seized as part of a routine border assignment.
