Nwosu, 45 was the 2019 Action Alliance (AA) Governorship Candidate, he may be referred to as the green horn among those eyeing the Governorship Seat based on his Political Experience and Exposure. The Eziama Obiare, Nkwerre-born Politician could boast of Seven years of Tutelage under the Former Governor, Rochas Okorocha, his father-in-law who brought him to Political limelight.
Ararume, 62 was the APC Candidate in the yet to be decided Imo North Senatorial Election. The Isiebu, Isiala Mbano-born Politician was the 2019 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Ararume, a Two-term Senator has contested for Governorship Election Four Times.
Ihedioha, 55 is the immediate past Governor of Imo State, He assumed Office in May 2019 and was sacked by the Supreme Court in January 2020, He was a Three-time House of Representatives Member where he served as Deputy Speaker and temporally, Speaker in acting capacity. He hails from Mbutu in Aboh Mbiase Local Government Area of the State. Ihedioha is a Household Name among a handful of Politicians in the State with Large Followers and Supporters mainly from Owerri Zone.

Ohakim, 63 is a Former Governor of Imo State, who ran and lost to Rochas Okorocha in the 2011 Governorship Race. He also lost the Governorship Ticket to Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha in 2015. Ohakim hails from Okohia in Isiala Mbano Local Government Council. He is known for his Clean and Green Programme from 2007 to 2011 when he served as Governor.
Madumere, 56 is a Former Deputy Governor of Imo State under the Rochas Okorocha-led Administration. He is an Enterpreneur, Management Consultant and Politician. Madumere served as Chief of Staff to the then Governor Okorocha from 2011 to 2013, and subsequently became the Deputy Governor of Imo State, a position he held until May 2019. He aspired for the 2019 APC Governorship Ticket, but lost at the Primaries.
Iheanacho is a Retired Naval Officer, Oil Magnate and Politician. He hails from Owerri Zone, Iheanacho served as Nigerian Minister of Interior between April 2010 and May 2011. He was the 2015 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
