In his statement, Prince Agoro highlighted the commendable behavior of the community, which has helped maintain a tranquil environment amidst the nationwide unrest.
Prince Agoro expressed appreciation for the restraint shown by students, youths, women, artisans, public servants, various groups, unions, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and security agencies in Imota.
Their decision to abstain from the protests reflects their commitment to peace and lawfulness, thus averting potential violence reported in other regions.
The Chairman emphasized that the community’s choice to forgo participation in the protests and continue their daily activities in an orderly manner signifies their trust in the APC-led administration and their willingness to give the government additional time to address welfare concerns.
Prince Agoro also extended his gratitude to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his efforts in ensuring security, which has been pivotal in maintaining the state’s peaceful atmosphere.
