Reverend Smith, born on June 25, 1954, was remembered not only as a distinguished alumna of Molusi College in Ijebu Igbo but as a vibrant soul who touched lives in profound ways.
Otunba TJ Abass, the Aremo of Epe, also expressed his sentiments, highlighting her sacrificial, strong, supportive, and loveable nature.

Rev Dr Sola Ogunbanjo, a schoolmate, reminisced about Smith’s exceptional commitment to MOCOSA affairs.
“She earned the title ‘Mama One Life’, emphasizing the importance of living life to the fullest. Her grassroots mobilization and support endeared her not only to the women but to the entire community,” Ogunbajo said, referring to deceased.
Wole Kukoyi, another schoolmate, remembered Smith as a jolly companion who brightened every meeting. Her joyful disposition and rib-cracking jokes left an indelible mark on the MOCOSA family, he added.
Lekan Sote, reflecting on their relationship, described her as a “Beautiful Spirit” and a friend who respected boundaries, offering support during times of illness. He cherished the memories of their camaraderie and her concern for his well-being.
Odeniyi Adebayo, highlighting her role as the welfare officer, acknowledged her diligence in caring for others.
He added that Smith’s infectious joy and encouragement to cherish “One Life” resonated deeply with the MOCOSA community.
In a joint tribute, MOCOSA members expressed profound sadness at the loss of their Assistant Welfare Officer.
They recognized the deceased’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to duty. While acknowledging the void left by her departure, they pledged to continue the legacy she left behind.
Smith’s departure has left a profound impact on the Molusi College community and beyond. Her legacy of joy, unity, and kindness will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As her memory is honoured, the MOCOSA family remains united in the spirit of “One Life,” a philosophy she passionately advocated.
