Cancer is a very deadly disease caused by virus. It affects different parts of the body such as blood, breasts, lungs, skin etc.
The disease evolves as a result of old cells which do not die away, thereby reforming and consequently causing damages.
These old cells are of no use to the body, but they consume the nutrients meant for the new cells. Thereby making the new cells to become weak.
It is unfortunate, that most people thinks of HIV/AIDS to be the only deadly disease, neglecting other disease such as cancer. Another unfortunate thing is that most people are guilty of the habits that leads to cancer. In this article, you will see some of preventive measures to protect your self from the chronic disease
According to the world health organization, cancer was responsible for 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Also, the disease is responsible for 1 in 6 deaths globally.

- Avoid smoking: it is very unfortunate that smoking has become a norm in the society. Even teenagers now indulge in this act. You might enjoy the highness that comes from smoking but neglecting the side effects can cost you your life. Smoking weakens the lungs, making easier for viruses to easily destroy. To stay safe from cancer, you should avoid smoking at all cost.

Avoid exposure to sunlight for long: especially for light skinned people whom are more prone to the disease as a result of radiation. In sunny season like this, ensure to always move around with your umbrella.

Diet: minimize your intake of highly processed foods such as cookies, cakes. Avoid excess sugar and avoid taking too much starch.
See your doctor, if you notice any of the following, as they may be signs of cancer.
- An injury that does not heal.
