EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the distribution of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and other sensitive materials.
It was gathered the election materials were disbursed to Local Government Areas (LGAs).
In Cross River, INEC distributed sensitive materials to the 18 LGAs in the state.
Similarly, in Kogi State, 3,508 BVAS were deployed.
All security agencies, including the paramilitary, police, army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Department of State Services (DSS), supervised the distribution.
The electoral body said it is fully committed to a transparent, free, and fair election.
After the presidential and National Assembly elections this Saturday, the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections will be conducted on March 11.
