President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over a meeting of the security council inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In attendance are the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, all service chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police.
Others are the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; heads of the Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency; Ministers of Justice, Police Affairs, Defence and Interior among others.
The meeting is coming a day after the Nigeria Governors Forum decried what it called the nation’s worsening security situation.
