Insecurity: Buhari Plans To Overhaul Security Architecture, Says Monguno
The National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.), said President Muhammadu Buhari has again expressed his dissatisfaction over the worsening security situation in the country.
According to him, Buhari was, therefore, planning an overhaul of the nation’s security architecture, The Punch reports.
Monguno disclosed this while briefing State House Correspondents on the outcome of the meeting of the National Security Council presided over by the President on Tuesday, August 4.
The President, according to the NSA, reaffirmed his last marching orders to the nation’s security chiefs that their best effort is not good enough.

He said Buhari noted that Nigerians have lost confidence in the security sector and he is determined to restore that confidence.
Recall that the President in the early hours of Tuesday was reported to be meeting with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo and all Security chiefs, including the Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Force in the presidential villa in Aso rock, Abuja.
