The major thing that causes crime in any nation is hunger because a fundamental part of being human is the instinct to survive.
However, Reno, a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan cited hunger as the real reason behind Nigeria’s growing rate of insecurity.
Omokri made this observation via a tweet from his verified Twitter account on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021.
According to him, he said “The reason for the exponential rise in insecurity in Nigeria is not Religion or politics.

“In 1960 Nigeria population was 45 million and we could feed ourselves. But in 2021, we are 200 million, but we can’t feed ourselves. A hungry nation is an insecure nation.”
Despite being out of active politics since the expiration of the Goodluck Jonathan regime in 2015, Reno Omokri has continued to make the headlines with his fierce criticism of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration as well as the plethora of Nigeria’s social issues.
