Kano State Govt Bans Tricycle Operations

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Kano State government in its effort to ensure the security of lives and property has announced a ban on the operations of tricycles popularly known as A Daidata Sahu from 10:00pm-6:00am with effect from Thursday, July 21, 2022.
This was contained in a statement signed by the commissioner for Information, Mallam Muhammad Garba, a copy made available on Monday to pressmen in Kano.
The statement disclosed that the decision to that effect was reached at the end of the state security meeting.
The state government added that the measure was part of efforts to ensure the security of lives and property in the state.

Mallam Garba, also in the statement, urged tricycle riders to comply and cooperate at the stipulated hours as security agents would enforce the ban without compromise.
