Inter Milan Close To Sealing Okoye’s Deal From Udinese

Eko Hot Blog reports that According to Football Italia, the Serie A champions have made progress in their efforts to sign 24-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who is valued at €12 million plus bonuses.

Okoye, currently on international duty with Nigeria for their 2026 World Cup CAF qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Noted, he was outstanding for Udinese in the 2023–2024 season.

This performance has sparked Inter’s strong interest in signing him, despite competition from other clubs.

He started in all 21 of his appearances out of Udinese’s 38 fixtures, recording five Serie A clean sheets, including a 1-0 win over Frosinone on the final day, May 26.

Okoye in action for Udinese against Juventus

Okoye deserves all the accolades and attention he is receiving for his hard work in reviving his career.

Before joining Udinese from Watford in August 2023, Okoye made no league appearances for the Championship side.

He first experienced Serie A action for Udinese as a starter against Bologna on December 30, 2023, and subsequently played in every match for his team.

His impressive campaign also revived his international career, leaving new Super Eagles coach Finidi George with no choice but to recall him for the World Cup qualifiers.
