The Season 5 Big Brother Naija ex-Housemates, Nengi Rebecca Hampson and Sinclair Trikkytee baged political appointments as Senior Special Advisers (SSA).
Immediately they made this public, their names trended on social media because their fans kept congratulating them all and sundry.
While the congratulatory messages kept flocking in, an international Lawyer, named Adetola OV took to his Twitter page to write extensively against the political appointments of Nengi, Trikkytee, and even talked about Laycon that was appointed by his state Governor months ago.
Lawyer Adetola, who appears being popular on Twitter was bashed for writing against the political appointments but he never worried about the criticisms he got. According to Lawyer Adetola, “Public funds should never be used to support celebrities, whether in giving political appointments or giving them gifts (money, cars or houses).”
Lawyer Adetola added saying, “Public funds should ONLY be used public services and governance. This is a principle we must all agree on even if we like the celebs.”
When Lawyer Adetola realized Nengi and Trikkytee’s fans were hurling words at him for being a clout chaser, he quickly quoted a tweet he made in the past which was entirely against the Political appointment of Laycon Agbeleshe, the season 5 Big Brother Naija winner. Lawyer Adetola said, “And for those saying this is selective, you can find my opinion months back about other such appointments.”
Weeks Ago, Laycon was made his state’s youth Ambassador.
Below are words he shared during the time Laycon was appointed a youths Ambassador by Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun:
“What level of bad governance is this? First, State funds should not be used to reward private individuals. Second, the best teacher in the state got N2.5m & 2 bedroom house, but BBN housemate got N5m & 3 bedroom house. Meaning BBN is more important than education to the State.”
The international Lawyer concluded by saying, “It is a great thing when any young Nigerian wins, but Nigeria has limited resources for our major human capital and infrastructure needs to be spending our scarce resources on entertaining private individuals. Education alone has a huge funding deficit!”
It appears that many persons are accusing the international Lawyer of trying to be more famous using Nengi and Trikkytee’s name
