EKO HOT BLOG reports confirmed the invitation via a statement on his Facebook page on Sunday.
According to the statement, Olasupo received a letter on December 30, 2024, instructing him to report to the INTERPOL headquarters at Force Headquarters, Shehu Shagari Way, Garki, Abuja, at 11:00 AM to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Upon receiving the letter through his employer, Olasupo’s boss immediately contacted a lawyer, Barrister Yomi Ogunlola, who responded on his behalf, resulting in a rescheduled appearance for January 13, 2025.

In his statement, Olasupo expressed confusion about the situation, questioning who had reported him to INTERPOL and what the nature of the allegations was. He stated:
“I have many questions: Who reported me to INTERPOL? Why INTERPOL? Who is defaming whom? And who is cyberstalking who? My Lord, I am innocent of these allegations.”
While he admitted to not having full details of the case, Olasupo emphasized his willingness to cooperate fully with the investigation. However, he raised concerns over the logistics of reporting to Abuja, noting that a visit to the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Ibadan or Lagos would have been more practical.
“INTERPOL, if you truly want to facilitate this process, shouldn’t you at least provide travel allowances? Traveling by air is costly, and road travel has its risks. Yet, here I am being summoned to Abuja. Nonetheless, I will do what is required,” he said.
Olasupo reassured his followers that the investigation would not affect his professionalism or commitment to speaking the truth:
“To my fans, please know that this will not affect my dedication to doing the right thing or my professionalism, which you all know me for. I remain committed to speaking the truth to those in power.”
