The Lagos State Police Command said singer, Tekno, was granted administrative bail on health grounds following his arrest on Tuesday over the scandal involving semi-nude ladies dancing seductively in a transparent truck on a Lagos road.
Reports indicate that the musician was subjected to hours of questioning at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Panti, Yaba.
The truck, seen around the Lekki/Ikoyi tollgate in Lagos while stuck in traffic last week, saw videos of the incident quickly going viral on social media, leading the controversial “Pana” singer to issue a veiled apology on Sunday for the act.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) SCIID, Yetunde Longe, said the investigation was ongoing on the matter and that Tekno was granted bail because of his health. “Yes, we invited him for questioning but we did not detain him because of his health. He was advised to report to the police whenever he was needed. Investigation is still ongoing,” she said.
