IPOB Or Nigeria — Buhari Media Questions Ezekwesili’s Loyalties

  • The Buhari Media Organization has risen to question the loyalties of former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili.

  • The Organization stands to believe the former Minister’s loyalties should be tested to verify if she stands for Nigeria or for the IPOB.

  • This is in reaction to Ezekwesili’s consistent criticism on the President.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has taken aim at former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, for her consistent criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari Media Organization condemned what it called her habit of filling public discourse with “noxious chemistry of bad mouthing and ill-mannered pontification” when addressing Buhari.

In a statement released on Saturday, BMO Chairman Niyi Akinsiju expressed his intrigue at Ezekwesili’s determination to express her opinions in a vainglorious manner, which he found particularly concerning.

BMO noted that while citizens expected South-East leaders to condemn the killing of two American Consulate personnel in Anambra, Ezekwesili chose to attack the President instead. The media group accused her refusal to strongly condemn the ambush as a clear sign of blatant subterfuge.

Akinsiju challenged Ezekwesili to declare where her loyalty lies, questioning whether it is with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) or with the people of Nigeria.

He further criticized the former World Bank Vice President’s conduct, stating that it resembled the hypocrisy of desiring to remove the speck in someone else’s eye while disregarding one’s own faults.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari

BMO highlighted that the Buhari administration had made significant strides in recent years in the fight against banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and other security challenges. The media group claimed that even in the South East, there had been a notable decrease in the activities of IPOB/ESN operatives due to the efforts of security personnel.

During the week, former presidential aide Reno Omokri accused Ezekwesili of bias following the attack on staff members of the United States Embassy. Omokri claimed that when Deborah Samuel was killed in Sokoto State, Ezekwesili wasted no time in taking to the streets and expressing her outrage.

As the public discourse surrounding President Buhari continues, the Buhari Media Organisation’s criticism of Oby Ezekwesili underscores the tensions and divisions within the Nigerian political landscape.
