  • “The IPOB and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) are well-known organisations, not random gunmen. ESN is pursuing jihadists in the bush and has little to do with the alleged attacks.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied being behind Monday’s attacks on the Imo State Police and Correctional Service headquarters.

This was stated in a statement released by its Publicity Secretary, Emma Strong, in Owerri on Monday, April 5.

It would also not attack the government’s facilities, he stated.

“The attention of IPOB has been drawn to the fallacious and fabricated reports that it is involved in the attack of prison and police headquarters in Imo.
